I have always admired Phillip Lim easy style of fashion and I’m absolutely in love with this easy and really pretty makeup that the designer has chosen for his 2012 Spring/Summer Runway Look – 3.1 Phillip Lim Windy Revelation 2012! It draws inspirations from kite flying and the pretty silver simply makes the whole look so magical.
Before we start off with the eye and lip makeup, it is important to prepare your face properly with your skincare. As this look is very natural and the emphasis is on glowing skin, a natural foundation together with a silvery highlighter is applied onto the skin to give the skin the enhanced shine.
For the Face:
- Le Blanc De Chanel Sheer Illuminating Makeup Base
- Vitalumiere Aqua Skin Perfecting Makeup
- Sephora sculpting Palette
Makeup Items needed for the Cheeks, Eyes and Lips
- Chanel Liquid Eyeshadow OMBRE D’EAU in Number 77
- L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in 015 Flashback Silver
- Sephora Sculpting Disk
- Eyeshadow blending brush
- Lip brush
- Eyelash curler
- L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in 233 Taffeta
Mix the Chanel Ombre D’eau and L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Flashback silver together at the back of your hand. Use the eyeshadow blending brush to help you mix the mixture evenly. You have to work fast as Ombre D’eau dries really fast.
Apply the mixture onto your eye lid, following the shape shown in the above picture. You do not have to apply it to the entire eyelid. This look is simple and just a strip of silver eye makeup across the eyelid.
Using the applicator from Chanel Ombre D’eau, apply the liquid crystal eyeshadow onto the inner corner of the eye and gently use your finger to blend it out. This will create dimension to the eyes and make the eyes appear brighter.
Finish off the eye makeup by filing in your brows gently. This look has a very natural brow finish and using a lash gel is also sufficient if you already have beautiful thick brows. Curl your lashes and finish with a coat of mascara.
Prepare your lips by apply a layer of lip oil/balm and gently fill in your lips with the nude/pink lipstick. To finish the entire look, using the Sephora Sculpting Disk, apply the Highlight powder onto your cheek bone to achieve the glow!
There you have it! The fun, easy and really sweet makeup by 3.1 Phillip Lim! This look took me a total of 20 minutes to complete on my face and I love it!
